Resources for Depression:
I highly recommend looking at the protocol that has come out of the University of Kansas, and seeing if there are any immediate changes that you can make based on their work. Always consult a physician prior to taking such action.
Resources for Anxiety:
Most clinicians are not experts in this field. Children, teens, and adults can be misdiagnosed when a medical or behavioral health practitioner is not familiar with the traits of giftedness. The SENG Misdiagnosis Brochures provides a concise list of common misdiagnoses by trait. SENG offers a number of other resources.
Hoagies Gifted has been a reliable resource for longer than I have been in the field.
